Okay. Long time, no blog. ANYWAy..... Today is indeed, Black Friday. this year, it was intensely hyped up with the awesomest commercials from Target and Walmart, including the psycho blondie who took too much speed, and the lady who named her son Black Friday. Awesome. So, yesterday, I had to work from 1-6. Total bummer. But before I left, Laura and I figured out our "Gameplan."
8:30- Leave for Walmart, where at approximately 10:00, large black tops would be removed to show the awesomeness of deals. For us, this included my Christmas present from Laura (a $50 Brother sewing machine!!!! For those of you who don't understand, these are usually VERy expensive.), as well as a 30 piece Tupperware set for $6!!!! People were going CRAZY!!! It looked like the pictures of "People of Walmart", only ten times worse.
The second we Checked out of Walmart (10:36)- Get our butts to Target, where the line eventually went around the ENTIRE store. We waited in the cold for almost 2 hours, only to be standing behind a lady that went beserk because the group in front of her let TEN people cut. (Oh no she din't!) And then, this older lady randomly stood in front of us. She didn't join anyone else, just slid in front of us. Don't worry, we cut her off. :) Then, we split up. I got a 5 piece luggage set (It's frickin HUGE!!!) for $40, and 5 $2 towels. Success!!!
AND THEN, we drove past Famous Footwear, which was closed :( then, we went this morning at elevenish, and got the same pair of boots for $36 each! (originally $90) Fo shizzle. I must CONFESS, Laura and I are awesome.
Sincerely,
The Black Friday Dominator

Confession Number 1
Okay. So those of you who know me well understand that I thoroughly enjoy my specific T.V. shows. Namely:
*Psych
*Say Yes to the Dress
*Dear Genevieve
So this morning, I made a realization about Dear Genevieve. For those of you who don't understand her goodness, Genevieve is an awesome interior designer (random TRUE fact: she has voiced several Spongebob episodes. AWESOME!!) that lives in New York, who renovates rooms into spectacular places that make me ridiculously jealous.
Now for the confession part: I don't watch it because of the transformation of the rooms, the pretty colors, or because I think Genevieve is awesome (even though these are true...). I realized my favorite part of the show would be watching the families. 80% of the time, the wife is some snobby trophy wife that just wants to be on tv, another 15% of the time is dedicated to some families who just can't agree on CRAP, but the last 5%, they are something. In movies, you see these romantic love stories where Mr. Darcy exists as this amazing creature, but in reality, divorce rates are higher than ever. Families fall apart because of economic troubles, stress, etc. The 5% of the show that makes it REALLY worth watching are real, human being that actually exist beyond the movie set. It's hard to explain, but you can just see that the couple loves each other, that it's real. I'm not a crazy-romantic, but it makes me melt a little to watch these people, that just love each other. It gives me hope that I'm not just destined for failure, but that happiness exists outside of the movies. YAYY!!!
Well, that's my confession for the day, Peace out!
And check it out. Real people rock.

And so it begins...
Oh My Gosh! I'm Blogging!
I'm super excited. I will probably enjoy blogging more than other people will be by reading mine... Oh well.
Life is super dull as of right now... I am just working, and I don't even do that very much. Hastings has been limiting our hours to 15-25 hours a week. Laaaaaame. So I just hang out with family and a handful of friends (not often). I blame my boredom on 3 things: 1) I don't start school for another 62 days. 2) Allyson is away at school and 3) Courtney and Brooke live 8 hours away. ughhhhhh. So all I do is prepare for school. I just look for stuff on sale for living, and find ways to entertain myself. This month, I am looking forward to two things... 1) Sister pictures!!! My sisters and I are getting family pictures done as family christmas presents, and a last sisterly act before I go away to school. So I pretty much have been planning every detail. 2) My trip to visit Allyson!!! I am sooooo excited. I miss her A LOT. We don't really have a game plan for when I go down there, other than stopping by IKEA on the way home. :)
Well, that's pretty much life right now...
So Ciao!
This is today's contribution to the college bin, an awesome grocery list pad I found at Anthropologie.
