I'm so bad at blogging and writing in my journal, so I'm sorry. If anyone even follows me...
Oh well. A few things...
So, Elder L. Tom Perry came to campus for devotional!!! It was amazing. As a born and raised pessimist/realist, I have found it hard to randomly love people. I just don't know how people do it!!! However, the second he walked into the room, I just knew that he loved every person there. And I just loved him! In a ssow, of course :) It was great to hear and see an apostle of the Lord, especially from the tenth row!
Okay, other random stuff has happened too. My roommates and I went to Idaho Falls (aka IF) where we went shopping for fabrics and chocolates and such. It was great! I got some black fabric and some old school floral stuff. The black one was already made into a skirt, and it turned out AWESOME!!! I taught my roommate Cynthia how to make one, so that was fun too.
My roommate Jessica brought a WII, which has proven to aid in my freshman fifty. Seriously. We have Netflix on it, where on Friday I watched Bones for 8 1/2 hours... Not my greatest moment. But I really deserved it! Fridays I get tutored for three different classes, and have my lectures. So I was tired, and totally deserved a lazy day. :)
What else... Oh! I have discovered a talent of mine... I can cook! Surprise. I make food and desserts daily, which has proven bad. My roommates steal my cookies every single time, and I can't say I blame them. Bahaha. But it's really fun, and I enjoy it. ESPECIALLY my banana muffins. Pretty much to die for.
I guess I've pretty much fallen into a routine... Monday, I have Book of Mormon at 7:45. UGHHH. So hard to go to this class. It's cold outside, and too early. Then I have French at 9, which confuses the heck out of me. So at 10, I go home, and eat and study for Psychology at 11:30. I really like this class, the teacher shows funny movie/tv clips. Then I go home, eat some more, take a nap, study.... Then have fhe!!! It's awesome. My fhe bros are hilarious. We like to PAR-TAY. And by party, I mean sit in a circle and play signs. WOO! After which Jess and I go "hit the gym". We come home, find something stupid to laugh about, then pass out at 12. Tuesday. ONLY FRENCH AT 9!! Pretty much same Monday, except no fhe, and more tv. Wednesday, repeat of Monday. Thursday... repeat of Tuesday. Friday... UGHH. French tutor, Psychology tutor, 5 minute lunch, psychology lecture, anatomy and physiology tutor, then 2 hour nap. In two weeks I start a block class, which is EVERY DAY!!! grr. at 10.
But Friday and Saturday nights are dedicated to either old movies on Netflix, or dance parties. For example, last night we went to one on campus (which means clean music and dancing, awesome laserness, and cheaper ticket, unlike raves) where Jess, Daniel, and I ran into our FHE bros, and partied like it was 1999. The song "i whip my hair back and forth" proved to kill my neck. I have random bruises and soreness on my knees and wrists. Oh well. Burns off the calories that I inhale throughout the week.
I guess that's about it... no dating, or anything of that nature. My social life consists of my roommates, FHE, and Thursday's bagels and cocoa with my French class friends. Except I met a cute boy a few days ago, but no number exchange. :( Probably didn't like the fact that I'm practically a baby out here. Darn.
OH! Last thing. I totally want to cry. My dream school for a PA (physician's assistant) program is EXPENSIVE. Two years tuition is $70,951!!!!!! TUITION! Add to that living in downtown Portland (oh, the school is OHSU), the cost of food, and other life crap. Kill me now. Everywhere else is around 65k, which is too close to 70 for me to not want OHSU. ISU is the cheapest at 56k, but it's in POCA frickin TELLO. I don't know if I can live in eastern Idaho for 6 years. That's too much coldness!!!
Anyway, life is good. I'm healthy, and happy. So kalie is OUT!
